Our group is organizing a charity event for kids at our orphanage. I wanted to contact a bollywood celebrity for the event since I saw the kids are particularly interested in their favorite actors/actresses. I’ve contacted a few people who I thought might help. But I would still like to know what’s the best way I can contact a bollywood celebrity.

Udita goswami is a top bollywood movie actress. Previously, she was a model for high profile companies including: nokia, star movies and titan watches. Her gorgeous looks have quickly established her as a bollywood heart-throb. The first film she starred in, called paap, flopped. But udita’s second, controversial movie was much more successful and proved to her breakthrough.
The very first thing you notice about indian actress udita goswami is her stunningly beautiful looks, which make it no surprise when you find out she was a model (for companies including pepsi, nokia, star movies and titan watches) before becoming a top bollywood star. Her movie career didn’t get off to a very good start, with her first film, the pooja bhatt directed paap, flopping commercially in 2003. Unphased by the set-back udita persisted with her acting career. “i didn’t want to make a debut in a film seeing which the audience would say, ‘oh, just another model, who’s come and gone. ‘ i needed people to sit up and take notice of me,” she said about her role in the unsuccessful movie paap.
Udita goswami is about to put the screen ablaze with her upcoming film ‘aggar’, with tushar kapoor, and shreyas.
She started her career with a number of commercials and stepped into movies and since then the model-turned-actress was busy with movies. She is on a high demand after tasting the success of her films and wanted to break in this monotonous image of the movies.
She is from the northeastern indian state of assam. The green-eyed pataka model started career in modeling, then made her jump into the bollywood industry.

The quietly devastating Maya begins with the statement, “Based on true practices.” Not until the very end will those practices, which still take place in certain remote parts of India, be revealed. Until that time, Digvijay Singh’s deceptively bucolic debut takes a quasi-documentary approach to the rural summer of 12-year-old Maya (wide-eyed Nitya Shetty) as she and cousin Sanjay (Nikhil Yadav) play in the sun, sneak candy, and drink warm milk. But then Maya “becomes a woman” and her family starts making preparations for her “prayer ceremony.” Things seems normal enough, although Maya is never told what this ceremony entails and why it is so important. Although the disturbing centerpiece of her initiation into adulthood is more suggested than shown, the point is as clear as it is heartbreaking. It represents, quite simply, the brutal and irrevocable destruction of one girl’s innocence. For this reason, the film is recommended for adult viewers, despite the young (more…)

Hare Rama Hare Krishna A daringly different treatment of the relationship between a brother and sister in Hindi films, the story deals with the strong bonds of love that exist between the subdued brother and the unconventional, bold, and strong willed sister. Separated in childhood, the parents being too self centered to care for their children, the brother returns to India with the mother, and the sister remaining with the father in Montreal.
Years later when the brother tracks down his sister in Nepal he finds her with a band of hippies. The attempts of the brother to reclaim his sister from the grip of drugs form the gist of the story.
TRIVIA This was Zeenat Aman’s debut film and she picked up the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance. Initially Dev Anand had asked Zaheeda his co star in Prem Pujari to do the role. But she wanted nothing less than the heroine’s role. But the role of the heroine went to Mumtaz. The song Dum maro dum by the sultry voiced Asha Bhosle became the anthem song of the age. PLAYBACK R. D. Burman came up an absolute winner with this film.
