Namitha Kapoor is a popular Tamil actress. She started out by participating in the Femina Miss India Contest. She was born on May 10, 1981 in Surat, India. She has acted in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Hindi films.
Although she started out in Telugu movies, she became famous after the Tamil film Engal Anna opposite Vijayakanth. She starred in the song “Arjuna Arjuna” along with Sarath Kumar, which ended up as a big hit. Her screen name for the first two Telugu movies was Bhairavi. She was crowned Miss Surat in 1998 and came fourth in the Miss India contest during the year 2001 where Celina Jaitley was crowned Miss India.
This publicity opened up doors for her and she did a number of TV commercials like Himami cream & hand soap, Amul Ice Cream and Nile herbal shampoo.
She has also appeared in an English film named Maya directed by Eric Manning.
She is the only daughter in her family.

Namitha swims and plays Badminton in her free time. Interestingly she used to coach swimming for kids.

Priyanka Chopra is an Indian film actress and former Miss World, who acts in Bollywood films.
